Winners of the National Youths Awards and National Youth Workers Awards will be announced at an official presentation ceremony at Mendana Hotel on Monday 27th November.
Guest of Honour, the Honourable Minister for Women, Youth, Children and Family Affairs, Freda Tuki will deliver the key note address and present the awards to the winners.
The Ministry of Women, Youth, Children and Family Affairs through Youth Development Division has called for nominations from young people and youth workers of all backgrounds who have demonstrated excellence in their fields of endeavour.
The winners are selected based on their demonstrated excellence and for their significant contribution and being inspirational role models to their communities and the nation.
The award program seeks to promote active citizenship by honouring and profiling outstanding young Solomon Islanders and youth workers and recognises those who have made outstanding achievements in their field, inspirational role models and have contributed in a significant way to Solomon Islands.
Hon. Minister Tuki will also announce the opening of new nominations for 2018 at the presentation ceremony.
